THE NEW ENGLAND SCHOOL OF ENGLISH
CAMBRIDGE - UNITED STATES

At The New England School of English (NESE) students attend intensive classes during the day and go home to an American family homestay or a dormitory in the evening.

All day, every weekday, the intensive program exposes students to American language and culture, providing an opportunity for the fastest language learning possible.

The teachers at NESE hold degrees from Harvard or other top universities and are dynamic professionals with exceptional teaching experience.

Classes, averaging ten students, are kept small to ensure lively discussions, student participation, and intense student-teacher interaction.

On arrival at NESE, the Academic Director thoroughly assesses each student's level in grammar, reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Students are, accordingly, placed in appropriate levels for each skill. In addition, NESE subdivides each level according to age. This means professionals will be in class with other professionals, and university students will be in class with their peers.

Students can also choose specialized courses such as TOEFL Preparation and Business English. NESE also offers after-school courses in Pronunciation, University Preparation, Legal English, and American Workplace Communication and Etiquette.

Advanced students can take extra courses in their areas of interest at Harvard Extension School and other area schools. For professionals who may seek shorter-term courses, the school offers private classes.

Extensive educational counseling, a university placement service, library facilities, computer lab with full internet access and free e-mail, and conditional acceptance (without TOEFL) to area universities are some of the other benefits students enjoy at NESE.

Geographically, the school is excellently situated. Its proximity to downtown Boston provides students with an exciting blend of culture and tradition.
