The University of Texas Pan American is the tenth largest university in the state and the fifth largest in the UT System.

UTPA offers 54 bachelor’s degree programs, 50 master’s, 2 doctoral, and 1 cooperative doctoral pharmacy program.

UTPA has more than 17, 337 students coming from 28 different states, and over 40 countries around the world.

The University of Texas-Pan American also counts with an English Language Institute (ELI), which was established in 1982. The institute prepares students to enter an academic program with academically oriented English and offers all students the opportunity to learn functional use of the English language.

Upon completion of the program, students will have acquired a level of English that will enhance their opportunities for advancement.
