Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College is situated on 4 sites in West London. It offers courses from GCSE level to post-graduate level. The college also runs courses especially designed for foreign students, and English as Foreign Language courses all year round.

Students work towards a range of qualifications and courses, tailored to particular groups, with tuition offered at different College sites.

We run a number of different Levels from Beginner to Upper Intermediate. Your Level will be assessed at an initial test and interview and the most suitable class selected for you. We also offer part-time classes above Upper Intermediate Level.

The course will develop the four skills of language learning: reading, listening, speaking and writing.

In developing reading skills, you are given practice in reading for gist (quick reading for essential information) and also in reading for more detailed comprehension. Practice in these skills also applies to listening.

In speaking, you will be encouraged to reproduce language that you have learned and to increase your fluency by working in pairs and groups. Other times you will be working individually or together with the whole class.

For writing, you will be given instruction and practice in how to compose formal and informal texts, transactional letters, narrative and descriptive texts. You will also learn to use the necessary linking devices to construct coherent writing.
