The University has nine colleges and schools, which include the College of Architecture and Planning, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Leeds School of Business, the College of Engineering and Applied Science, the College of Music, the Graduate School, the School of Education, the School of Journalism and Mass Communication and the School of Law. CU-Boulder offers over 3,400 courses each year in 150 fields of study. 85 majors are offered at the bachelor’s level, 61 at the master’s level and 48 at the doctoral level. Classes are taught by outstanding faculty; four of them have received Nobel Prizes and seven have received MacArthur Fellowships, known as “genius grants.” Students have the opportunity to learn in the classroom, in the laboratory and outside of the classroom through research, mentoring and other programs. ![]() Courses

![]() Boulder The city of Boulder is a safe, friendly community of 100,000 people. The climate is temperate with an average of 300 days of sunshine each year. Boulder is within easy reach of the resources of metropolitan Denver, including major museums, entertainment venues, and four major league sports teams. Denver International Airport is 60 minutes to the east and accessed with the student bus pass. The Boulder campus is close to many city, state and national parks, and is only a short drive from some of the most spectacular scenery and the best recreational areas in the country. Rocky Mountain National Park is one hour to the north. Eldora ski resort is 40 minutes to the west, accessed with the student bus pass.
